Biography

Ian Hendry's life story began on January 13, 1931, in Ipswich, England, with a rather unassuming start, playing the role of the fall guy for a circus clown. However, after attending the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama in London, his career began to take off, with a notable stint as "Dr. Geoffrey Brent" in the television series Police Surgeon in 1960.

This initial success led to his casting in the popular television show The Avengers in 1961, where he played a significant role. Although he only remained with the show for one season, he went on to pursue a career in film, which proved to be a lucrative decision.

Throughout his career, Ian Hendry found himself frequently cast in roles that showcased his ability to portray authority figures, such as doctors and police officers. Despite this, he still made time to return to the small screen on occasion, even making a guest appearance in an episode of The New Avengers in 1976.

Tragically, Ian Hendry's life was cut short on December 24, 1984, when he passed away at the age of 53 due to an internal hemorrhage.
