Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard, a dynamic duo of visual artists, first crossed paths at Goldsmiths and have since collaborated on a plethora of projects since the mid-1990s. Initially gaining recognition for their meticulous recreations of culturally significant events, they pioneered the use of re-enactment within the contemporary art landscape. Their impressive body of work is proudly collected by esteemed institutions worldwide, including the Tate Gallery and the Government Art Collection.
Their innovative approach has garnered numerous accolades, including a shortlisting for the inaugural Samsung Art+ Prize in 2012. Performance and music culture play a significant role in their artistic endeavors, leading to notable collaborations with prominent figures such as Ben Drew (aka Plan B),Scott Walker, and the enigmatic Kevin Eldon.
Notably, their stereoscopic 3D short film, Radio Mania, was commissioned by the British Film Institute, while their contemporary reinterpretation of the classic War of the Worlds was broadcast by BBC Radio. For several years, they have been working closely with the acclaimed musician Nick Cave, resulting in various projects, including the direction of the 3D audiobook for The Death of Bunny Munro and several music videos.
