Her projects have been esteemed enough to be invited to some of the most prestigious film festivals in the industry, including the Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Institute, AFI, Austin Film Festival, Outfest, Newfest, Reel Sisters, and the American Black Film Festival, to name a few.
As a testament to her remarkable talent and dedication, Huriyyah is currently participating in the esteemed AFI DWW+, a program that recognizes and nurtures the next generation of exceptional filmmakers. Her impressive body of work has also earned her the prestigious Sundance Creative Producing Award for Farewell Amor and a coveted spot in the Black List Feature Residency.
Beyond her impressive filmography, Huriyyah is also the co-founder of the Black TV & Film Collective, a 1400-member organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the creative endeavors of artists of color.
