Born in England, Hugh embarked on a remarkable journey, initially attending the Hereford College of Art & Design, where he majored in television production and photography. During his time in Hereford, Hugh simultaneously served in the 5th Battalion The Light Infantry, a reserve component of The British Army, showcasing his dedication to both his artistic and military pursuits.
After completing his studies, Hugh was one of a select few actors to be accepted at The Rose Bruford College of speech and drama in London, further honing his craft. In 2004, Hugh's talent caught the attention of Hollywood, and he segment coordinated "Mail Call D-Day" 60th anniversary special with R. Lee Ermey for The History Channel. Over the next two seasons, Hugh wrote and directed on-location segments ("Army ROTC", "Tiger Stripe") for "Mail Call" and co-produced and appeared in "Storm on the Horizon" for The History Channel, solidifying his position as a talented filmmaker and performer.
In 2007, Hugh co-wrote and starred in "Brother's War", an independent feature film that explored deception in the final days of World War Two. The following year, Hugh worked as a costume designer/military technical advisor with The Hettema Group on "Beyond all Boundaries", a state-of-the-art 4-D film executive produced by Tom Hanks for The National World War 2 Museum in New Orleans. Throughout his career, Hugh has appeared in numerous television and feature films, including "Crossing Jordan", "Numb3rs", "CSI:NY", "Racing to Witch Mountain", "Hancock", and "G.I. Joe", as well as served as a stunt performer on "The Butcher" and "Green Street Hooligans 2".
Today, Hugh is a senior staff writer with Dagger Media Group, scripting award-winning Army360 series training films for the U.S. Army and Cross Cultural Competency for the U.S. Air Force. His versatility has also led him to appear as a character in "Modern Warfare": Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty 6, and work on Call of Duty 7 "Black Ops" as a military technical advisor for Treyarch-Activision. In October 2010, Hugh took on the role of "Wall Street" in the MJZ live-action 'ultiplier' "Call Of Duty 7 Black Ops" commercial directed by Rupert Sanders, showcasing his impressive stunt skills by blowing up a Russian Army pick-up truck with a tactical crossbow and high-explosive tipped bolts.
