Biography

Hiroto's illustrious professional dance career commenced with the esteemed Hong Kong Ballet immediately following his graduation from the renowned English National Ballet School in London, UK. His impressive repertoire with Canada's Ballet Jörgen boasts numerous principal roles, including the iconic Romeo and Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, as well as Nathaniel and Dr. Coppélius in Coppélia, Dimitry in Anastasia, the Prince and Suitor in Cinderella, the enigmatic Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty, and the distinguished Lord Birch in The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition.

As part of CBJ's 25th anniversary season, Hiroto was instrumental in creating several principal roles in the company's new production of Swan Lake, in which he masterfully performed the pivotal roles of Siegfried and Von Rothbart. Beyond his position as a leading dancer, Hiroto dedicates his time to teaching and coaching dance students at George Brown College and globally. His creative endeavors also extend to choreographing several notable works, including the captivating 05:46 for Hong Kong Ballet, the emotive Lost and Found for George Brown Dance, and the thrilling Lord of the Rings for Toronto Youth Ballet/Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra.
