Hillel Meltzer, a talented individual, began his journey in San Diego, where he attended the prestigious School of Creative and Performing Arts. He then pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Boston University, followed by the esteemed two-year Meisner Conservatory at the Maggie Flanagan Studio in New York City.
As a member of the original American ensemble of STOMP, Meltzer performed at the Orpheum Theater in NYC, going on to participate in national and world tours, numerous television appearances, an Oscar-winning short film, and an Emmy-winning HBO original production.
Meltzer's Broadway credits include starring in the Moliere classic Scapin, directed by the renowned Bill Irwin. His Off-Broadway work includes co-starring in CSC's The Alchemist alongside Dan Castellaneta and Jeremy Shamos, earning him rave reviews and comparisons to a young Alec Guinness by the esteemed critic Clive Barnes.
Continuing his Off-Broadway endeavors, Meltzer collaborated with playwright Tony Kushner and actor Michael Stulberg in the Public Theater's production of A Dybbuk. He later returned to Broadway, joining the cast of Jumpers, which received a Tony nomination for Best Revival.
In addition to his stage work, Meltzer has appeared in several independent feature films, including The Tenant and Future 38, alongside actress Betty Gilpin, which received an Audience Award at Slamdance Fest and the Grand Jury Award at the Gasparilla Film Fest. He is currently starring in HBO's The Plot Against America as Marty Lefkowitz.
