Hilda van der Meulen's early life was marked by a carefree upbringing in Friesland, the northernmost province of the Netherlands. As a passionate equestrian, she competed at the national level, but it was a surprise entry into the Miss Holland Beauty Pageant that catapulted her to fame. Winning the competition, she went on to represent the Netherlands in the prestigious Miss World pageant held in Sun City, South Africa.
Following her Miss Holland obligations, Hilda discovered a new world of opportunities. Her modeling and acting career took her to London and subsequently to Los Angeles, where she spent several years. She was accepted into the renowned Beverly Hills Playhouse Acting School, where she honed her craft as a working film and television actress.
