Hervé Renoh is a French-born writer and director with a multicultural and multilingual background, working in Paris, Montreal, and Los Angeles. He has gained recognition for his work in the film and television industry, producing numerous award-winning short films, TV movies, and commercials in France.
Renoh wrote and directed the feature films Requiem and Coursier, with the latter being internationally released as Paris Express. The action thriller Requiem was released in over 100 screens in France and across 35 countries in Europe, South America, and Asia, selected at several film festivals including Sitges International Film Festival and Mauvais Genre Film Festival.
Coursier, an action comedy, was produced by Europacorp, a production company known for its work on the Lucy, Transporter, and Taken franchises, and Valerian. It reached number 8 at the national box office in France and was selected at the Singapore Film Festival to represent France.
Renoh's films have been released globally in over 50 countries, with Coursier landing number 6 at the Chinese national box office, making it one of the only two European productions to reach China's Top 10 and one of the 20 most internationally profitable French theatrical feature films of 2011-2012.
He then went on to shoot Jack of Diamonds, a feature-length pilot episode for an international television series produced by Muse Entertainment, Gaumont, and ZDF. This pilot was selected at the 26th Canadian Gemini Awards for best writing in a dramatic television series, resulting in a U.S. representation at Paradigm Agency in Los Angeles.
Since then, Renoh has worked on various projects, including the Chinese remake of Paris Express, titled Super Express, for the Chinese market with Fundamental Films. He has also developed a slate of TV and film projects in the U.S., Canada, and France with several production companies, including Voltage Pictures, Coup d'Etat, Radar Films, Studio Canal, SND, M6 Films, and 5656 Films.
In addition, Renoh has collaborated with internationally acclaimed directors such as Kim Jee-Woon and Fabrice Du Welz, and has worked on several TV shows, shooting over 30 episodes of major French TV shows, all of which have aired to high ratings. His episode of the hit French cop show Section de Recherches aired on France's leading network TF1 to the series highest ratings in five years, with over 7.3 million viewers.
