Heather Winters is an award-winning American film producer, director, writer, and two-time Sundance-winning executive producer. She has executive produced numerous films and documentaries, including Morgan Spurlock's Academy Award-nominated and Sundance-winning documentary, Super Size Me, and Anthony Haney-Jardine's Sundance-winning dramatic feature, Anywhere, u.s.a.
Heather's films include Michelle Memran's The Rest I Make Up, AJ Schnack's Convention, Class Act, and her directorial debut, TWO: The Story of Roman & Nyro. She has also worked on television shows such as MTV's Real World and ThunderCats, SilverHawks, and The Comic Strip.
As an Executive Producer and Director of Production for Sony Corporation, Heather oversaw all productions and client management for Sony's Studio One. She has also worked as a Creative Director, Producer, Director, and Writer for various companies, including SONY, VIACOM, HBO, TIME WARNER, PARAMOUNT, BLOCKBUSTER, CADILLAC, and GE.
Heather is the founder of the entertainment and media production company White Dock and is producing partners with Desmond Child, a Grammy Award-winning and Emmy Award-nominated songwriter-producer-hitmaker. She is a film professor at Sarah Lawrence College and leads master classes, intensives, lectures, and workshops in producing and documentary film.
Heather is a consultant, producer's rep, guild and film festival juror, and academic press peer reviewer. As a classically trained pianist and musician, Heather brings her multi-faceted artistry and musical background to her work.
Throughout her career, Heather has received numerous awards and nominations for her work, including an Academy Award nomination, Best Documentary, and multiple Sundance Film Festival awards. She has also been recognized by various professional associations and has received notable honors, including a Producers Guild of America (PGA) membership and an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) Margaret Herrick Script Library Selection.
