Harry Sparks is a renowned director, editor, and producer, celebrated for his outstanding work in the film and video production industry. Born in Maryland, he pursued his passion for filmmaking by studying at prestigious institutions such as Florida Metropolitan University, International Academy of Design and Technology-Orlando, Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and UCLA Extension.
April 2006 marked the premiere of his short film "A Night to Dismember" on the IFC Channel, as part of IFC's Media Lab Uploaded. This was followed by the direction of several short films, including "No Walk in the Park", "You Don't Know Jack", and "The Apartment Above". Sparks then wrote and directed the global-warming documentary short "Shenandoah", which earned a nomination for the 2007 Broadband Emmy Award.
In the summer of 2007, he made his feature film debut with "All Hallows' Eve", followed by "Rotkappchen" The Blood of Red Riding Hood", an erotic re-telling of the classic fairy tale. In 2012, Sparks wrote and directed the coming-of-age sex comedy/drama "Revenge of the Petites", which won a Gold Kush Award for Feature Film and multiple XBIZ Awards, including Best Cinematography and Best Actress in All-Girl Feature. The film also garnered numerous nominations from esteemed award bodies such as AVN, XBIZ, Venus Awards, XRCOs, Urban X, and Humboldt International/420 Awards.
In 2013, Sparks released "The Vampire Mistress", a feature film that blended adult and horror elements, and won Dani Daniels the XBIZ Award for Best Actress in an All-Girl Release. The film received eleven 2014 XBIZ Awards and four AVN Awards nominations. In 2016, he directed "Beauty & the Beast XXX", a successful title that featured an all-star cast, won a NightMoves Award for Best Parody - Editor's Choice, and was nominated for nine XBIZ Awards and seven AVN Awards. More recently, in 2022, Sparks directed the sci-fi thriller "Maid to Kill" and the UFO abduction thriller "The Seventh Kind".
