Harry Hart-Browne is a renowned actor, playwright, and storyteller with a wide range of credits in film, television, and theater. Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Harry studied acting at Carnegie-Mellon University and earned his BFA in acting from Boston University.
Early in his career, Harry was part of the autobiographical solo show movement, pioneering the genre with his groundbreaking production "Pardon Me, I'm Having an Emotion" in 1978. He went on to study with renowned acting coaches and appeared in numerous Off-Broadway and regional productions, including the New England Premiere of Jonathan Katz's documentary play "Coming Out!" and Lanford Wilson's Off-Broadway hit "The Hot l Baltimore".
Harry's film and television credits include appearances in "Seinfeld", "L.A. Law", "Married...With Children", "Night Court", and "Hill Street Blues", as well as feature films like "Hito Hata: Raise the Banner", "Street Asylum", and "Comeback". He has also worked with notable directors such as Tim Minear and Michael Kearns.
As a playwright, Harry has written and performed several original solo plays, including "Special Delivery" and "Holy Mackerel Moments", which have been performed in numerous Los Angeles venues and have toured nationwide. He has also been recognized for his work as a storyteller, having performed at libraries, festivals, and STAR Education after-school enrichment classes for over 26 years.
Harry currently resides in Topanga Canyon, California, with his cat Puffin.
