Person Biography:
Hanani Taylor, also known as "Hana Ni", was born on June 16th, 1998, in Columbus, Ohio. She began her journey in the entertainment industry at the tender age of 3, singing, acting, and dancing publicly. By the time she was 8 years old, she had already won several singing and acting competitions in Dallas, Texas, and had made her acting debut in the play "The Wiz".
Hanani's talent and dedication earned her numerous awards and accolades, including the 106.3 New Gospel Talent Search Showcase in Columbus, Ohio, where she opened for legendary gospel artist Yolanda Adams. She also performed on national television on "Showtime at The Apollo" and was a featured soloist for the 100 Black Men of Atlanta Youth Celebration.
In 2006, Hana Ni won the title of Junior Miss Talent International and was a special guest performer on Sunny 95 Radio and ABC/FOX Good Morning Columbus. She was also a contestant on American Idol at the age of 15, participating in Hollywood Week and making it to the top 100 out of 125,000 auditionees.
Hanani has been trained in various artistic disciplines, including acting, piano, guitar, flute, hip hop dance, liturgical and jazz dance. She has a unique soulful modern style that sets her apart from other artists, and has been influenced by a wide range of music genres, including soul, jazz, old school, classic rock, Doo Wop, Motown, and alternative.
In addition to her music career, Hanani has also ventured into acting, completing her first feature film "Puzzled" in 2013 and later booking roles in CBS's "Criminal Minds", FOX's "The Orville", and ABC's "Speechless". She has also started her own production company and has released her first full-length album.
Throughout her career, Hanani has received numerous awards and recognition, including being crowned Miss Columbus Teen 2013 and Miss T.E.E.N. Ohio 2013. She has also performed at various events, including the BET Awards Experience Live LA 2014 and the National Urban League Gala 2014.
In recent years, Hanani has continued to pursue her passions in music and acting, releasing her latest album "Everything is Temporary" in January 2021 and booking roles in films and TV shows such as "Aristotle and Dante" and "Fantasy Football".
