Luk Piyes was born on March 30th, 1975, in Cologne, Germany, and his passion for acting began during his primary school days. This early interest in acting remained a constant companion throughout his life, as he navigated various roles and pursuits, including being a Thai Box Champion, a street worker at the tender age of 16, and a law school student. While studying at the Faculty of Law in Cologne, Luk continued to hone his acting skills on independent stages.
Upon securing a sponsorship, Luk followed his dream of becoming an actor and relocated to the United States, where he initially settled in New York and Los Angeles. During his time in the US, Luk pursued further education in screenwriting and directing, laying the foundation for his future endeavors.
Eventually, Luk returned to Germany, where he went on to star in numerous award-winning films as a lead actor across Europe. Throughout his career, Luk has consistently balanced his acting work with his commitment to social work. He has established various anti-violence, anti-drug, and anti-terror projects, and has delivered seminars in schools and universities, often in war zones.
This experience has instilled in Luk a desire to create independent film projects, which he has packaged and produced himself. He has directed and written short films in both the United States and Germany, and has also produced full-length feature films, including 'Barut' and 'Ates', in Istanbul, where he studied sociology.
Luk's upcoming project, 'Pasha', is currently in pre-production and will be shot in Antiochia, Istanbul, Berlin, and Cologne.
