Biography

Biography of Hal:

Born on July 17, 1955, in Taunton, Massachusetts, Hal's journey began with a stage debut in the offbeat, off-off Broadway rock musical, The Blind Junkie, in 1975, after migrating to New York City. His television appearance was on the award-winning daytime drama, As The World Turns, where he portrayed Oakdale Police Academy cadet Phillips. Hal's first foray into film was in the quirky, Nothing Lasts Forever, where he played a lunar explorer, suiting up to explore the moon.

Later, a childhood fantasy led Hal to Paris, where he studied corporeal mime and mask work, launching a ten-year odyssey across the United States, Canada, and Europe, entertaining crowds as an acclaimed street performer. Highlights during that decade included a stellar production of a Mozart commedia dell'arte play performed at the Royal King's Residenz in Munich and two additional tours around the Japanese isle of Kyushu.

Today, Hal is a LA-based actor, residing in Silver Lake with his wife, casting director, Deborah Maxwell Dion. Their daughter, Hadley, is both an imaginative writer and an aspiring filmmaker.
