Guy Patton is a New York-based writer and indie filmmaker with a rich background in the entertainment industry. As an alumnus of the renowned Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, he spent numerous years honing his writing skills, particularly in sketch comedy, which has undoubtedly prepared him to tackle various scene writing tasks.
Guy's impressive resume includes stints as a contributing writer for The Onion News Network and MTV's "Popzilla", as well as featured work on the College Humor and Channel 101 NY websites.
As a filmmaker, Guy has made a name for himself with the award-winning indie action thriller "Pearl" (also known as "Pearl: The Assassin"),which was released by Indican Pictures. He also wrote the Sci-Fi comedy feature "Snatchers".
Born in Philadelphia, Guy now resides in Jersey City, New Jersey, with his wife Dana and son Finn. He has become an integral part of the local film scene, actively participating in the Jersey City Arts Council Film Committee to connect local artists with opportunities to advance their careers.
Guy is also committed to giving back to his community, serving as a Board Member of Grace Community Services, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to providing a breakfast program for the homeless and food insecure populations.
Guy's personal background is marked by overcoming adversity, being the youngest of six step-siblings born into a family plagued by poverty, criminality, addiction, and deception. Despite these challenges, he became the first in his family to earn a college degree, drawing inspiration from his experiences to craft compelling stories.
