Biography

Gregory Paul Pronko was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to a family with rich cultural heritage. His mother, Genna (Borkowski),hailing from Dupont, Pennsylvania, is of Polish descent, while his father, Myron Pronko, from Dickson City, Pennsylvania, is of Ukrainian descent. This unique blend of cultures likely played a significant role in shaping Greg's perspective and worldview.

Greg's educational background is impressive, having graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, where he was named to the 1980 PA Big 33 State Football Team. He then attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he played wide receiver for the Owls under the guidance of renowned coaches Wayne Hardin and Bruce Arians. Greg earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and also took acting courses at Temple and Drexel Universities.

After a few NFL free agent tryouts, Greg decided to pursue his passion for acting and business. He began his professional acting career in the Philadelphia, New York, and DC areas, starting with background roles in television and movies. He has appeared in notable productions such as Invincible, Rocky Balboa, The Wire, The Last Airbender, and Friends with Benefits, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

In addition to his screen work, Greg has extensive experience in theater, working with exceptional directors in the Philadelphia area. He has played a range of roles, from stage combat and dance to singing, and has even performed as a supernumerary in operas such as Tosca and Turandot at The Academy of Music in Philadelphia and War & Peace at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

Greg has had supporting roles in various indie films and principle credits in films like How Do You Know, Paranoia, and Boardwalk Empire. He has also appeared as a guest star in the iconic Margate Sands beach scene with Gyp Rosetti (Bobby Cannavale) in Boardwalk Empire. More recent roles include Poncho in Backfire, writer/actor for Gossiping Grams, and starring as Abram in the podcast series "The I Am..Project" (2018).
