Glenn Edward Gyorffy, a native of Toronto, Canada, was born on August 10, 1970, and has been a musician since his early years. As a young individual, he was already involved in local bands, harboring a deep-seated desire to become a professional performer. At the age of 25, in 1995, he joined the esteemed Canadian metal band Anvil, serving as the bass player and backup vocalist for an impressive 16-year tenure.
Throughout his time with Anvil, Glenn co-wrote a remarkable seven albums, and his contributions to the band were immortalized in the critically acclaimed feature documentary 'Anvil, The Story Of Anvil.' The documentary's success catapulted the band to international recognition, with performances on some of the world's most prestigious stages, including a memorable opening act for the legendary AC/DC at Giants Stadium. Glenn's dream of becoming a professional musician had finally come true.
After leaving Anvil in late 2011, Glenn took a few years to focus on various day jobs and engage in some introspection. He eventually decided to pursue another lifelong passion, acting, in 2018. His initial foray into the world of television was with the episodic series Haunted Hospitals, marking the beginning of his journey as an actor.
Since then, Glenn has continued to hone his craft through classes and workshops, landing roles in commercials and television shows. In January 2020, he had the opportunity to shoot the first episode of season three of the popular series American Gods, in which he plays the role of a rock-star bass player, a part that seems tailor-made for his talents. The episode is slated to air in early 2021, and Glenn's acting dreams appear to be off to a flying start.
