Giulia Rubini's acting career was launched by director Luciano Emmer, who stumbled upon her photograph in her art photographer uncle's shop window. Emmer was in search of a lead actress for his comedy High School (1954) and after auditioning 18-year-old Giulia, he chose her for the role, marking the beginning of her film career.
