Giovanni Frezza, a captivating child actor, emerged in a series of unsettling Italian horror films during the early to mid-1980s. Born on September 8, 1972, in Potenza, Italy, Frezza's film career began with a role in A Leap in the Dark (1980). He is most notably recognized for his starring role as Bob Boyle in Lucio Fulci's hauntingly atmospheric The House by the Cemetery (1981).
Frezza's impressive filmography also includes memorable performances as Tommy Hacker, the son of archaeologist Christopher Connelly, in the unengaging Manhattan Baby (1982),a resourceful inventor and mechanic in the entertainingly trashy post-nuclear science fiction film Warriors of the Wasteland (1983),and a vulnerable young boy in the stylish giallo murder mystery thriller A Blade in the Dark (1983).
Giovanni's final film appearance was in a minor, uncredited role at the end of Lamberto Bava's excessively gory Demons (1985). Beyond his acting career, Frezza holds a black belt in Kung Fu and a degree in Physics. He is a happily married father of three children, residing in Chicago, Illinois, where he currently works as a marketing manager for an electronics company.
