Gene Bervoets, born in 1956, is a renowned Belgian actor with a prolific career spanning over 100 projects in film, television, and theatre. He has solidified his position as one of Belgium's most established actors, with a long list of credits to his name.
Bervoets has received numerous accolades for his performances, including the prestigious Ensor Award for Best Actor in 2015 for his portrayal of bus driver Mario Dockers in Paradise Trips. He has also been nominated for Best Actor on several occasions, including a Golden Calf nomination in 2009 for his role in De Laatste Dagen van Emma Blank.
In addition to his individual achievements, Bervoets has been part of several successful projects, including the Golden Calf-winning short film Erotic Tales: The Waiting Room, written and directed by Jos Stelling.
