Gavin Rapp is a multi-talented individual, serving as the President of White Collar Pictures and boasting the distinction of being a DGA certified independent award-winning writer/director. Born to the late hall of fame singer, Janet Vogel Rapp, who was a member of the renowned doo-wop group The Skyliners, Gavin's life has been deeply rooted in the entertainment industry from a young age.
As a child, he would travel with his mother and The Skyliners, immersing himself in the world of music and performance. Whenever possible, Gavin would capture the shows with his Kodak super 8 camera, and these early experiences had a profound impact on his creative expression.
Throughout his career, Gavin has been heavily involved in the development and production of his own projects. He has written, produced, edited, and directed four feature films to date.
One of his notable projects is the feature film 'Since I Don't Have You,' which enjoyed a total of seven sold-out screenings in Pittsburgh and Cleveland, earning the distinction of being the sixth biggest story in Pittsburgh entertainment in 2012. The film received widespread acclaim, including an endorsement from Michael Keaton, who praised it as a "heartfelt piece about a little-known Pittsburgh story." 'Since I Don't Have You' went on to win the Art House Feature Film of the Year award at the New Hope/Philadelphia Film Festival and was an Official Selection of the Buffalo Niagara International Film Festival in 2014.
Gavin is also the mastermind behind the film 'Trapped,' which starred Corbin Bernsen and Tom Atkins and won the Best Crime Feature Film award at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival. The film subsequently received distribution in Canada and the United States through ITN Distribution and e Entertainment.
Additionally, Gavin's films 'Demon Tongue' and 'Gearheads' were released by Uncork'd Entertainment on Redbox in 2016.
