Garrett Mercer's life story began in Arlington, Virginia, where he was born to Lee and Deborah Mercer. During his formative years, Mercer demonstrated a keen interest in sports, showcasing his athleticism by competitively participating in swimming, basketball, tennis, and lacrosse.
As he grew older, Mercer's academic pursuits led him to matriculate at Emerson College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Production. However, it was his senior thesis project that truly showcased his creative range, as he directed a theatrical production of Jean Paul Sartre's iconic play, "No Exit".
Fast-forward to the present, and Mercer can be found in Los Angeles, where he has co-founded Ammunition Theatre Company alongside a talented group of individuals, including Malcolm Barrett, Tina Huang, Arjun Gupta, and Brandon Scott.
