Galicia Vaca Lopez, a talented and ambitious individual, embarked on her journey in the world of performing arts at a tender age, taking her first acting class in the third grade. Growing up in Chicago, she would often stage plays for her family and friends, showcasing her natural flair for the dramatic. This early exposure to the world of acting was further nurtured by her father, who would frequently rent and watch multiple movies a day, instilling in Galicia a deep love for the cinematic arts.
As she progressed through high school and college, Galicia remained actively involved in community theater, honing her craft and developing her skills as an actress. Her time at Indiana University played a significant role in shaping her passion for the performing arts, and she soon found herself drawn to the world of professional theater.
In the summer of 2008, Galicia made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, where she quickly began working on several productions for DrexelBox. Her impressive work ethic and dedication earned her a spot as a member of the company, comprising a diverse range of creative professionals, including actors, writers, directors, cinematographers, and producers.
Under the guidance of producer Jessica Petelle, Galicia rapidly rose through the ranks, progressing from Production Assistant to Associate Producer of Lo, and eventually, Producer of The Dead Inside. Both projects were written and directed by the talented Travis Betz. Galicia's impressive portfolio continued to grow as she worked on Dust Up, a film in post-production, where she took on dual roles as Producer and Actress.
In addition to her work in film, Galicia has also appeared in supporting roles in notable projects, including Ron and Laura Take Back America, starring the esteemed Golden Globe nominee Irene Bedard. The film is set for release in 2011. Furthermore, Galicia has served as the Vice President of the Hollywood Hoosiers, an Indiana University-affiliated group comprising alumni working in the entertainment industries of Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago, since 2009.
