Gail graduated from the esteemed California Institute of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre & Dance, under the guidance of renowned mentor Donald McKayle. McKayle selected Gail as his assistant choreographer for her inaugural Broadway production, Dr. Jazz, marking the beginning of her illustrious career on the Great White Way.
Throughout her two-decade tenure on Broadway, Gail took on leading roles in numerous iconic musicals, including 42nd Street, Me & My Girl, Dancin', Dr. Jazz, Pal Joey, Finian's Rainbow, and many others. Simultaneously, she assisted prominent choreographers, such as the incomparable Bob Fosse, in recreating his masterpiece "Dancin'" for international and touring companies for six years.
Gail's impressive resume also boasts appearances in feature films, soap operas, commercials, MTV videos, industrial shows, and television specials, including the prestigious HBO's Salute to Broadway. She was cast in the renowned Humana Festival of New American Plays in Louisville, Kentucky, where she eventually transitioned to the Youth Performing Arts High School to nurture the next generation of young artists aspiring to careers in the arts.
Currently, Gail serves as the Musical Theatre Department chair at YPAS, taking great pride in the dozens of her students who have followed in her footsteps and are now performing in professional venues worldwide.
