Funlola Aofiyebi-Raimi, a renowned actor born in the mid-1970s in Lagos, Nigeria, has had a lifelong passion for acting that dates back to her childhood days. As an eight-year-old, she was already bitten by the acting bug, inspired by her aunt, Teni Aofiyebi, a veteran actress, whom she watched on television.
FAR's interest in acting continued to grow, and she eventually landed her first paid role in 1996. Throughout her life, she has lived and schooled in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom, where she received formal training in drama and theater arts. In 1992, she earned a Certificate in Drama and Theater Arts from Westminster College, London, England.
To further hone her skills and steer her career in the right direction, FAR took an Intensive Acting Course for TV and Film in 2010 at the prestigious Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire, UK. This course allowed her to refine her acting abilities and prepare herself for the demands of the film and television industry.
One of FAR's most notable roles is her portrayal of Brenda Mensah, a fierce and memorable villain, in the popular Mnet daily soap, Tinsel. She has been a part of the show for ten seasons, earning her a nomination for Best Actress in a TV Show at the 2010 Nigerian Entertainment Awards, held in New York (NEA).
