Fred Coury's remarkable musical journey began at the tender age of five, when he first started taking violin lessons, marking the beginning of a lifelong passion for music. Just a year later, at the age of six, he made his debut in a public performance, showcasing his early talent to the world.
Between the ages of seven and nine, Fred further honed his skills at the esteemed Beirut Conservatory of Music in Beirut, Lebanon, where he refined his craft and laid the foundation for his future success. At the age of ten, he added another instrument to his repertoire - the trumpet - expanding his musical capabilities and versatility.
But it was at the age of twelve that Fred's musical path took a dramatic turn, as he discovered his true calling - the drums. This newfound passion would become the driving force behind his musical endeavors, and he would spend the next several years perfecting his craft.
Fred's epiphany as a professional drummer came at the age of fourteen, when he witnessed the legendary rock band The Who perform live at CNE Stadium in Toronto, Canada. This unforgettable experience solidified his resolve to pursue a career in music, despite the skepticism of his peers.
While many of his friends and neighbors urged him to abandon his dreams and get a "real job," Fred's closest friends encouraged him to persevere, recognizing the potential that lay within him. And persevere he did, driven by his unwavering passion for music.
Just five short years later, at the age of nineteen, Fred Coury returned to CNE Stadium, this time as a professional drummer with the renowned rock band Cinderella, fulfilling his childhood dream and cementing his status as a talented and dedicated musician.
