Despite being drafted into the Cardinals, Frank's athletic aspirations were temporarily sidetracked due to an injury sustained during training. Undeterred, he joined the Merchant Marines, where he spent the next ten years working on freighters, honing his skills and gaining valuable experience.
As the years passed, Frank's passion for the entertainment industry resurfaced, and he transitioned into a career as a stuntman in the late 1960s.
