Frank E. Abney III is a multifaceted creative force, boasting a career spanning writer, director, and animator roles at the pinnacle of the industry, having worked at Disney, DreamWorks, and Pixar animation studios.
Throughout his illustrious career, Abney has lent his expertise to a plethora of blockbuster hits and award-winning films, including the critically acclaimed "Frozen", "Big Hero 6", "Kung Fu Panda 3", "The Boss Baby", "Coco", "Incredibles 2", and "Toy Story 4". His impressive portfolio also boasts his involvement in Pixar's "Soul", as part of the cultural trust.
Furthermore, Abney took on the role of Executive Producer for the 2020 Academy Award-winning short "Hair Love" alongside Issa Rae for Sony Pictures Animation.
Most recently, Abney penned and directed the Netflix original film "Canvas", which garnered the inaugural NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Animated Short. Currently, he is directing a new animated feature for Netflix.
