Frank Beddor is a Film Producer, Author, Game Developer, World Creator, and Founder of Automatic Pictures. He is a two-time freestyle world champion in professional skiing and has also scaled the heights of the world of filmmaking and the New York Times Bestseller list.
Beddor is the producer of several hit films, including There's Something About Mary (1998),Wicked (1998),and his upcoming film, The Juliet, which is currently in development with Sony Pictures and New Regency.
As a New York Times bestselling author, Beddor has written the "Looking Glass Wars" trilogy and "Hatter M" graphic novel series. He formed Automatic Pictures and Automatic Games to develop creative properties for a multitude of platforms.
Born in Excelsior, Minnesota, Beddor was raised in a small-town Midwest environment. His mother performed in college productions, and his father was an entrepreneur and impresario who owned a traveling water-ski show.
Beddor began training for his professional skiing career at a young age and went on to become a two-time freestyle world champion. He retired from skiing at 23 and moved to Los Angeles, where he began acting and studying with renowned acting coach Stella Adler.
Beddor's experience as an actor led him to become a film producer, and he produced the hit films There's Something About Mary and Wicked. He also wrote the bestselling book trilogy "Looking Glass Wars" and founded Automatic Pictures and Automatic Games to develop creative properties.
