Flip van der Kuil is a renowned Dutch comedy maker, director, writer, and editor known for his bold and uncompromising approach to comedy. He has gained international recognition for his films and series, with all of his features receiving an international release. His most recent film, Ron Goossens, Low-Budget Stuntman, received critical acclaim from esteemed publications like Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.
As a pioneer of absurd comedy with high production value, Flip van der Kuil has made a significant impact in the industry. He has collaborated with Steffen Haars on several projects, including the highly successful TV-series New Kids, which became a phenomenon in the Netherlands and across Europe. The duo's work on the show led to the creation of two blockbuster films, New Kids Turbo and New Kids Nitro, which were released in Dutch theaters and gained massive popularity, attracting 1.6 million viewers.
The New Kids franchise was not only a commercial success but also won several awards at film festivals, including Best Director Comedy at Fantastic Fest 2011 for New Kids Turbo and Best Comedy at Fantastic Fest 2012 for New Kids Nitro.
