Flip Kobler embarked on a multifaceted career as an actor, eventually transitioning into a writer. Alongside his wife and creative partner, Cindy Marcus, they have been prolific writers, having penned over 50 published plays and musicals that have been performed worldwide since the sale of their first screenplay to Paramount Studios in 1988.
Their impressive body of work includes numerous animated films, with five years spent on staff at Disney where they contributed to the development of various projects, including The Lion King II, Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, Hunchback of Notre Dame II, Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World, Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure, and many other titles.
In addition to their work in animation, Flip and Cindy have also written live-action family films, such as Jack and the Beanstalk, which starred a talented ensemble cast including James Earl Jones, Christopher Lloyd, Katey Sagal, Wallace Shawn, and Chevy Chase.
Their writing credits also extend to television, with work on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, as well as a range of family films. More recently, they have ventured into uncharted territory, exploring the horror genre. Flip has not only written but also co-starred in the films The Mean One and Bury Me Twice, further demonstrating his versatility as a writer and performer.
