Person Biography:
Born in March 2003, Fish made his television debut in the popular Docu-Drama series "True Files", playing the episodic lead. By 2005, he had transitioned from being a mechanical engineer to a tuition teacher and began getting cast in short films for the Advanced Diploma in Film Productions course at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, landing lead roles in two of the three films.
Fish's rugged exterior hides his introspective nature, allowing him to take on stereotypical 'tough guy' roles, such as his part in Mediacorp's tele-movie "For Sentimental Reasons" in 2006. The same year, he made his international debut as himself on AXN's Macau X'treme.
In 2007, Fish went full-time in his acting career, and he hasn't looked back since. He has worked with local director Jack Neo on several films, including "I Not Stupid Too" in 2006, "Money No Enough 2" in 2008, and "Where Got Ghost" in 2009.
In 2012, Jack Neo cast Fish as the Officer Commanding (OC) in his two-part movie "Ah Boys To Men", and Fish reprised the role in "Ah Boys To Frogmen" in 2014. In 2015, he appeared in episodes 4 and 5 of Netflix's "Marco Polo", where he met and auditioned for director Daniel Minahan and writer John Fusco.
Fish has also been involved in international productions, including HBO & Astro-Shaw's feature film "The Garden Of Evening Mists" in 2018, where he played the role of Kwai Hoon, and Cinemax's "StrikeBack" Season 7 Ep 5 as Dagon. He has also appeared in several TVCs, including Betadine, Hong Kong Sheng Kee Desserts, MCI & Casio.
Aside from his acting career, Fish is also skilled in voice acting, having voiced TVCs, radio ads, corporate videos, E-learning content, and many other projects for various clients, including Pokka, Singsaver.com, NTUC Income, Uber, Asia Pacific Breweries, Temasek Holdings, Republic of Singapore Navy, Breguet, Grab, Singapore Police Force, IMDA, Recogen, Ministry of Law, AIC, NHCS, CPF, NTU, and many others.
