Filipe Vargas's life journey began at the tender age of 18, when he made the bold decision to relocate to Lisbon, a city that would become a pivotal chapter in his life's narrative. It was here that he embarked on a dual path, simultaneously pursuing a degree in marketing and advertising, while also hosting a pair of children's television shows to help finance his education.
Following a decade of honing his skills as a creative copy-writer in various advertising agencies, Vargas made the bold decision to uproot himself once again, this time to Spain, where he enrolled in the prestigious Juan Carlos Corazza acting school in Madrid. Interestingly, he shared this esteemed institution with none other than the renowned actor Javier Bardem.
After completing his studies, Vargas's professional journey took a significant turn in 2007, when he landed his first role in Portugal's most acclaimed television series, "Conta-me como foi". Since then, he has gone on to play a wide range of characters, effortlessly transitioning between comedy and drama, and appearing in both Portuguese and foreign productions.
A polyglot, Vargas is fluent in four languages: Portuguese, English, French, and Spanish. Throughout his illustrious career, he has had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse array of directors, including the esteemed Manoel de Oliveira, Bille August, Jean Sagols, Badreddine Mokrani, Bruno de Almeida, João Botelho, and Raul Ruiz, among others.
