Felicity Rose Hadley Jones is a talented English actress and producer who has been active in the entertainment industry for most of her life. Her professional acting career began at the tender age of 12, when she landed a role in the 1996 film "The Treasure Seekers". This early start was followed by a stint on the television show "The Worst Witch" and its sequel "Weirdsister College", where she played the character of Ethel Hallow for one series.
After completing her education at Kings Norton Girls School and King Edward VI Handsworth School, Jones took a gap year during which she appeared in the BBC series "Servants" in 2003. She then took a break from acting to focus on her studies, attending Wadham College, Oxford, where she read English and graduated with a 2:1 degree in 2006.
During her time at Oxford, Jones remained active in the acting world, appearing in student plays such as "Attis", where she played the title role, and "The Comedy of Errors", which she starred in alongside Harry Lloyd during the OUDS summer tour to Japan in 2005.
In addition to her work on stage, Jones has also made a name for herself on radio, playing the long-running role of Emma Grundy in the popular BBC soap opera "The Archers". Her work on screen has been just as impressive, with notable roles in films such as "Northanger Abbey" (2007),"Brideshead Revisited" (2008),"Chéri" (2009),and "The Tempest" (2010).
One of her most notable roles to date is that of Jyn Erso in the 2016 film "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story", which was a massive commercial success. Her performance in the 2011 film "Like Crazy" earned her widespread critical acclaim and numerous awards, including a special jury prize at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
Jones's performance as Jane Hawking in the 2014 film "The Theory of Everything" was also met with widespread critical acclaim, earning her nominations for the Golden Globe, SAG, BAFTA, and Academy Award for Best Actress.
In addition to her work as an actress, Jones is also a producer, and in 2019, she founded her own production company, Piecrust Productions, with her brother, Alex Jones.
