Faye Yvette McQueen, a multifaceted individual born in Jamaica, New York, embarked on a journey that would shape her life's trajectory.
Her early years were marked by a strong foundation in dance, with attendance at Catholic School and subsequent studies at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in NYC and Martha Graham Contemporary Dance School.
As a precocious 12-year-old, Faye took the initiative to establish her own dance school in her neighborhood, cultivating a passion that would only continue to grow.
Before pursuing higher education, Faye's professional dance career took off with performances alongside The New York Broadway Dancing Cheerleaders in NYC, Liberation Ensemble, and Inspiration Dance Company.
In 1979, she enrolled at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Education and a minor in Spanish.
Faye's academic pursuits continued with a Master's degree in Dance at Southern Methodist University, which she completed in 1984. During this time, she had the opportunity to perform with the esteemed "Dallas Black Dance Theater".
In 1988, Faye founded and became the Artistic Director of "The Dancer's Warehouse, Inc.", a non-profit dance school based in Atlanta, Georgia. Additionally, she spends her summers performing with the Italian dance company, "ProDanza Italia/USA", in the picturesque Tuscany region.
Faye's transition into acting began in 1988, and she eventually became a skilled Stuntwoman through rigorous training and hands-on experience. Her training took place at John Zimmerman's Stunt Camp in Orlando, Florida, and Rick Seaman's Hollywood Stunt Driving School.
Throughout her career, Faye has worked as a Stuntwoman on numerous projects, including Purge 4: The Island, Orange Is The New Black, and Luke Cage.
