Next person biography:
Facundo Lombard was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a world-renowned actor, dancer, and director who gained international recognition for playing the Santiago Twins alongside his twin brother, Martin Lombard, in Disney's "Step Up" movies franchise.
At the age of 7, Facundo started dancing, inspired by Michael Jackson. He made his debut at 13 on Argentina's most popular TV show Rhythm Of The Night. His passions led him to dedicate time to studying acting and filmmaking as well as classical music.
Facundo and Martin, also known as the Lombard Twins, met James Brown during a concert and were called up to the stage to dance. Mr. Brown dubbed them "The Soul Boys" in awe of their talent. At 21, they moved to New York City to pursue a career in theater and film.
They performed with James Brown and Mambo King Tito Puente, and participated in a music video with Whitney Houston and George Michael. Over their career, they have been featured in Vogue Magazine and ad campaigns for Versus/Versace, photographed by Steven Meisel. They have also appeared on the cover of several dance magazines.
The Lombard Twins created "Dreamers", their first full-length show, entirely written, directed, produced, and composed by themselves. Other productions include the dance concert "Lombard Plays Piazzolla" with its world premiere at New York City Center and on NBC's Rosie O'Donnell "Rosie Live" show.
They have written, produced, directed, and starred in several films, including "Infancia 34", "Free Expression", "Sublevados", "Chant Et Fugue", "Escualo", and "Persecuta", which have been screened in prestigious film festivals worldwide. They also appeared in the films "Los Marziano", "To Redemption", and the promotional trailer of "Men In Black 3" alongside Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.
The Lombard Twins developed "Free Expression", a distinctive dance form that focuses on individual emotion and expression, transcending traditional dance techniques. Facundo and his brother reside in Los Angeles, California.
