Evan's early life was marked by a unique upbringing within a religious cult, where he was immersed in the world of exorcisms from a tender age. As a result, he was deprived of exposure to secular movies and music until he reached his mid-teens, leaving a significant gap in his cultural and artistic education.
Despite this unconventional start, Evan's thirst for creative expression was insatiable, and he later pursued a passion for art in San Francisco. During this period, he accumulated an impressive number of miles and a vast library of audio books, honing his skills as a cross-country trucker. This eclectic experience laid the groundwork for his future endeavors.
Evan's artistic pursuits eventually led him to pursue a Master of Fine Arts degree in film at Florida State, where he refined his craft and gained a deeper understanding of the art form.
Upon completing his education, Evan relocated to Los Angeles, where he secured positions at prominent industry players ICM and Anonymous Content. He spent several years honing his skills in these roles before transitioning into a career as a writer and director.
