Evan Law was born and raised in the quaint town of Farmland, Indiana, where he was the youngest child of parents Ed and Nancy Law. His fascination with the film industry began at a remarkably early age, courtesy of his father, who would take him to watch a variety of movies, including genre films such as "Big Trouble in Little China" and "Conan the Barbarian." With the gift of their first camcorder on Christmas, Evan and his brother Chad embarked on a creative journey, producing over 75 homemade movies during their childhood.
As they grew older, Evan's interest in writing began to take shape, inspired by the works of renowned fantasy authors like J.R.R. Tolkien and Robert E. Howard. At the age of 13, he started dabbling in writing, initially focusing on novel-writing, particularly in the fantasy genre, but later expanded his scope to include screenwriting. His first screenplay, "Daylight's End," was a collaborative effort with his brother Chad, marking their first attempt at co-writing and screenwriting.
Notably, "Daylight's End" was also Evan's first foray into the horror genre. Although it did not ultimately win the "Project Greenlight" contest, which was also the platform that led to the production of the horror film "Feast," the screenplay's near success served as a catalyst for Evan and his brother Chad to pursue screenwriting full-time. One of their subsequent screenplays, a crime drama titled "Hero Wanted," was eventually adapted into their first feature film in 2008.
Despite his busy schedule, Evan still finds time to write fantasy novels, sometimes under the pseudonym E.R. Law. However, co-writing screenplays remains his top priority. Evan continues to reside in Indiana, never straying too far from his hometown of Farmland.
