Eva Herzigová, a renowned Czech supermodel and actress, embarked on her modeling career after winning a prestigious modeling beauty contest in Prague in 1989 at the tender age of sixteen. This remarkable achievement led to her joining Thomas Zeumer's esteemed Metropolitan Models agency.
Upon arriving in Paris, Herzigová's popularity skyrocketed, and she made her mark as the model for the inaugural Wonderbra campaign. In 1994, advertising executive Trevor Beattie, working for TBWA/London, crafted an ad for Sara Lee's "Hello Boys" Wonderbra campaign, which featured a close-up image of Herzigová donning a black Wonderbra. The provocative poster, boasting only two words: "Hello boys," became an iconic sensation, garnering a spot in the "Poster of the Century" contest at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
This groundbreaking campaign aimed to rebrand the Wonderbra as a cosmetic and beauty enhancer, rather than a functional garment. The billboard was later voted the most iconic outdoor ad of the past five decades by the Outdoor Media Centre in 2011.
Throughout her illustrious career, Herzigová has graced the covers of numerous international fashion magazines, including Vogue (France, Britain, Spain, Germany, Japan, Australia, Mexico, Poland, Turkey, Thailand),Harper's Bazaar (Britain, Spain, Ukraine, Italy, Australia),Elle, Marie Claire, Numéro, and Allure. She has also walked the catwalk for esteemed designers such as Louis Vuitton, Benedetta Dubini, Giles Deacon, Emilio Pucci, and Versace.
Some of Herzigová's most recent projects include starring in a fashion art film by Imagine Fashion, titled Decadent Control, alongside Roberto Cavalli, featuring fashions by Agent Provocateur and H&M. She has also posed for the August 2004 edition of Playboy. In 2006, Herzigová took on the role of Venus at the 2006 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony. More recently, in 2016, she featured in campaigns for Giorgio Armani and Dior Beauty.
