Ernest S. Cavazos Jr. was born in San Antonio, Texas, to a family of diverse professional backgrounds. His mother, Hilda Barrera, was a skilled surgical technician, while his father, Ernest Cavazos Sr., was a multifaceted individual with experience in food distribution and carpentry. As the second oldest of six siblings, Ernest's upbringing was marked by a rich cultural heritage, being of Mexican-American descent.
Growing up, Ernest was acutely aware of his passion for acting, yet he never imagined a future where this dream could become a reality. The seed of acting was sown in his younger years, but it would take time for him to muster the courage to pursue it.
After completing high school, Ernest made the decision to enlist in the United States Army, where he served as an Artillery Fire Direction Specialist and later re-classified as a Forward Observer. Throughout his deployments, Ernest honed his skills and gained valuable experience, ultimately earning an honorable discharge.
Upon his return, Ernest found himself just a few credits shy of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. However, his passion for acting continued to simmer, and he finally decided to take the leap and pursue his dream. In 2010, Ernest made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, where he secured a job in Tech Support at Wells Fargo and concurrently attended acting classes at night at the renowned Howard Fine Acting Studio.
Since then, Ernest has made significant strides in his acting career, penning and starring in numerous short films, feature films, and television shows.
