Erich Silva, a multifaceted individual, was born in the vibrant city of New York, where he spent his formative years alongside his adoptive mother, Althea Dickerson, a young black woman of 18 years. Althea, an artist at heart, traversed the United States with Erich throughout his childhood, exposing him to various schools in New Jersey, Boston, and California. This nomadic upbringing ultimately led Erich to settle down in Harlem, New York City, where he pursued his passion for the arts at the esteemed Harlem School of the Arts and later the renowned High School of Performing Arts.
Tragedy struck when Erich was just 16 years old, as his mother, Althea, succumbed to the debilitating effects of Multiple Sclerosis.
Years later, in his early twenties, Erich made the bold decision to relocate to Sweden, where he began to carve out a name for himself in the acting world. His breakthrough role came in the Swedish thriller Executive Protection (2001),marking a significant milestone in his career. This success was followed by minor roles in two international features: It's All About Love (2003),starring the talented Joaquin Phoenix and Claire Danes, and Dogville (2003),featuring the exceptional performances of Nicole Kidman and James Caan.
Today, Erich continues to work as a dynamic actor and writer, splitting his time between Sweden and London, England.
