Eric Walker was born in Upland, California, to Gene and Effie Walker, his parents. In 1972, his family relocated to Sherman Oaks, a city in the San Fernando Valley, where his father, Gene, worked as a senior programmer analyst for Sunkist Orange Company. His mother, Effie, had always dreamed of getting her children involved in acting.
Eric's big break came when he was chosen to appear in a Jack in the Box commercial at the age of six. Tragically, his mother passed away on February 6, 1976. Devastated, Eric continued to pursue his mother's dream, bugging his father to get him into acting for the next four years.
It wasn't until his sister, Teressa, came up with the idea to ask a friend who was an actress for a couple of agent phone numbers that Eric finally got his big break. The first agent Teressa called signed Eric, and some of his early credits include appearances in TV shows such as "Webster" and "Having It All" with Dyan Cannon.
Eric's career gained momentum when George Lucas cast him in the lead role of Mace Towani in the spin-off to the Star Wars Saga, "The Ewok Adventure." Since then, he has appeared in films such as "Less Than Zero," "She's Out of Control," and "And You Thought Your Parents Were Weird" (1991). He has also appeared in TV shows like "The Marshall Chronicles" and "Miracle Alley."
In 1992, Eric formed his own production company, Starlight Entertainment, and is currently working on several TV and film projects.
