Eric Erickson, also known as The Angry Viking, is a multi-talented individual with a successful career in acting, directing, and comedy. He graduated from the University of Southern California's School of Theatre and honed his craft on stages across the country, playing a wide range of roles from Hamlet and Mercutio to Conrad Birdie and Charlie Chaplin.
Eric's film credits include starring roles in "Truth" and "Jurassic Galaxy," as well as appearances in "Dam Sharks!" and "Last Call at Murray's." He has also had roles in several television shows, including "The Last Ship," "The Young and the Restless," and "Stitchers." In addition, he played the memorable role of Alley Jaws in the cult favorite "Snake Outta Compton."
In 2017, Eric made his directorial debut with the feature film "Truth," in which he also co-starred. The film received critical acclaim, winning several awards, including Best Director at the Silver State Film Festival and the Marina del Rey Film Festival, as well as a Best Actor and Best Storytelling award from the Laughlin International Film Festival. "Truth" also won Best Feature at the Worldwide Women's Film Festival, and Eric was nominated for Best Actor at the Bloodstained Indie Film Festival in Japan. He presented the film at the Arctic Open Film Festival in Arkhangelsk, Russia in 2018.
Eric is the founder of Viking Dog Films, a production company that is developing a number of film projects in the action and science fiction genres. He has also written, directed, and executive produced the audio drama adaptation of Eisner Award-winning comic book artist and writer Nicola Cuti's character Moonie.
Eric gained the nickname "The Angry Viking" while performing stand-up comedy, and has entertained audiences at The World Famous Comedy Store, Garrett Morris' Downtown Comedy Club, and with The Rebels of Comedy. He even spent some time as the master of ceremonies at one of Wrigleyville's largest sports bars, working a crowd of thousands of Cubs fans every night.
