Eric Millegan was born in Hackettstown, New Jersey, and spent his formative years in Springfield, Oregon. He is widely recognized for his captivating portrayal of Zack Addy in the television series Bones, which premiered in 2005.
In addition to his work in television, Millegan has made notable guest appearances on Law & Order: Criminal Intent in 2001 and Sidney Lumet's 100 Centre Street, also in 2001. His film credits include a starring role as Ed Simone in On_Line, which received official selections at the Berlin International Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and Cinequest Film Festival, earning the Best Narrative Feature Award.
Millegan has also had an impressive career in New York theater, with Broadway credits including the revival of Jesus Christ Superstar and the Encores presentation of Hair at City Center, where he sang the iconic "Aquarius" solo. He has also appeared in the New York premiere of Dead Man Walking at Lincoln Center.
In addition to his work on Broadway, Millegan has played lead roles in various workshops and readings, including Spring Awakening, directed by Michael Mayer, The Wayside Inn, directed by Jason Moore, Uncle Broadway, Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil's Mask, directed by Richard Maltby Jr., and the Off-Broadway hit Altar Boyz.
Millegan's regional theater experience includes roles at the Guthrie Theater, Cincinnati Playhouse In the Park, the Repertory Theater of St. Louis, and the Paper Mill Playhouse, where he starred as Harold opposite Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons' Maude in the world premiere of Tom Jones and Joseph Thalken's Harold & Maude: The Musical.
In addition to his work in the performing arts, Millegan has also pursued a variety of other interests, including dancing as a polar bear in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in Myrtle Beach, writing a sports column as "The Fan" of the Portland Trail Blazers for OregonLive.com, which was quoted on CNN and CNNSI, hosting "Broadway La Cage" in Atlantic City, and singing "God Bless America" during the 7th inning stretch at Shea Stadium, following which the Mets scored six consecutive runs.
Millegan is an alumnus of the prestigious Interlochen Arts Camp and holds a B.F.A degree in musical theater from the University of Michigan.
