Eric Lawrence Lively, born Eric Lawrence Brown on July 31, 1981, in Atlanta, Georgia, was raised in Los Angeles, California. His mother, Elaine Lively (née McAlpin),is an acting coach and talent manager, and his father, Ernie Lively (born Ernest Wilson Brown Jr.),is an actor and teacher. The Lively family has a strong presence in the Entertainment Industry, with Eric's sister being the acclaimed actress Blake Lively. His half-siblings include the talented thespians Robyn Lively, Jason Lively, and Lori Lively, while his brothers-in-law are actors Ryan Reynolds and Bart Johnson.
Eric completed his high school education at the remarkable age of 15 and promptly relocated to New York City, where he planned to pursue a degree in photography from The Parsons School of Design. However, his life took a dramatic turn when he was approached by The Ford Agency to model. This opportunity led to him landing campaigns for prestigious brands such as Abercrombie and Fitch, Levi's, and Tommy Hilfiger. Modeling allowed Eric to learn from renowned photographers and gain valuable experience.
After gaining valuable experience in the modeling world, Eric returned to his hometown of Los Angeles, where he currently resides. His big break in the entertainment industry came when he booked a small role in the popular film "American Pie" in 1999.
