Eric La Barr was born and raised in Yorba Linda, California, to Simone and the late Gerald La Barr, alongside an older sister, Monique La Barr. His journey into the film industry began with a chance audition for an independent film titled "Rolling", suggested to him by his sister. Although the callback for "Rolling" wasn't for another year, Eric's interest in the film business only grew stronger, leading him to continue pursuing a career in the arts.
After completing his first project, Eric decided it was time to take his talents to Hollywood, where he would land various auditions and odd jobs to supplement his income. Through this period of self-discovery, Eric found a creative outlet in writing, and he began to channel his experiences into story form. Recognizing his true talent, Eric shifted his focus to writing, which has since led to the completion of several feature-length writing projects.
Today, Eric is dedicated to his filmmaking career, working in various capacities including writing, directing, producing, and acting.
