Eric Koston, a renowned skateboarder, was born in the vibrant city of Bangkok, Thailand, to an American Air Force father and a Thai mother. His early life was marked by a significant move, as his family relocated to California when he was just 9 months old. Following his parents' divorce, Eric found himself settling in San Bernardino, a city that would become a significant part of his formative years.
It was during this time that Eric discovered his passion for skateboarding, courtesy of his older brother who gifted him an old Mark Gonzalez board with mismatched trucks. With a natural aptitude for the sport, Eric quickly picked up the basics and began to hone his skills on the driveway, his sessions becoming a regular occurrence.
