Actress Enid Kent was born on January 14, 1945, in Los Angeles, California, to the late William Kent, a Polish immigrant and lawyer, and the late actress Irene Tedrow, originally from Denver, Colorado, who was a well-known radio, stage, and later film and television actress.
Enid attended Hollywood High School, where she was a classmate of actress Swoosie Kurtz.
In 1969, Enid appeared as a replacement actress in the Broadway play "Our Town" alongside her mother, Irene Tedrow, actor Ed Begley, and the late legendary actor Henry Fonda.
Kent is most notably recognized for her recurring role as "Nurse Bigelow" on the popular CBS-TV series M*A*S*H*, which she played from 1976 until 1983. She also appeared in the final M*A*S*H* TV movie, "Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen".
