Emma was born in 1988 in North West London, England, to a mother of Spanish descent and a father of Chinese heritage, who was born in London. In 1997, Emma relocated to Hong Kong, where she developed a fascination with catching lizards and insects. At the tender age of 11, she secured her first managerial position at a pet shop, and later, she worked part-time at a vet's surgery, honing her skills and gaining valuable experience. Additionally, Emma worked at an animal rescue centre, where she trained feral and abandoned animals, further solidifying her passion for the welfare of animals.
Emma's acting career began during her school days, when she participated in various plays and festival productions, as well as street-theatre performances. Her debut theatre production was a stage adaptation of Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet', where she portrayed a classical rendition of Juliet. She also landed roles as Viola in Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' and as 'Nancy' in 'Oliver!', showcasing her versatility as an actress. Concurrently, Emma enjoyed working in indie film, securing the role of 'Kim' in Tom Six's 'The Human Centipede II'. In her personal life, Emma is in a relationship with her partner, Michael, whom she met on the set of 'The Human Centipede'. Together, they co-founded 'Mobile Menagerie UK', a company that provides animals for film and television productions.
