Emilie, professionally known as Zabou, is a multifaceted French actress, stage director, and producer who has spent the last two decades honing her craft in Asia. Born in Brittany, she has spent the majority of her acting career in Hong Kong, where she has established herself as a versatile performer, artistic director, and producer of a wide range of live performances, television shows, and films.
Emilie's journey in the entertainment industry began as a ballet and modern jazz dancer, before she went on to earn a degree in Technical Corporal and Improvisation from the esteemed 'L'Ecole de Théâtre Bellevue'. She then spent years perfecting her craft on stage and in front of the camera, working under the guidance of renowned acting coaches, directors, and producers such as Christian Lucciani, Sylvie Boutley, Frédérique Farina, Georges Bécot, Jean-René Lemoine, Steven Soderbergh, Stanley J. Orzel, Jacky Chan, and Scott Williams, to name a few.
After completing her education, Emilie went on to earn a National Diploma in Performing Arts and Drama Directing from the prestigious French Drama School 'Le Cours Florent', where she graduated with a sense of accomplishment and confidence.
In 2015, Emilie made her directorial debut with the feature film 'L'arrivée d'un Typhon', an independent production shot and set in Hong Kong. Not only did she star in the film, but she was also the writer, editor, and producer.
